WORK HISTORY
Psychology Intern @Asha Neuromodulation Clinics
Hyderabad, IN
I had the opportunity to serve as an intern in a 5-day High-Intensity Treatment (HIT) Program for OCD, where I was deeply involved in the clinical process rather than just observing it.Under the supervision of a Psychiatrist and Clinical Psychologist, I assisted in delivering 30 hours of intensive Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy. I supported clients through structured exposure exercises, helped them sit with anxiety without engaging in compulsions, and observed firsthand how powerful evidence-based interventions can be when delivered with consistency and care. One of my key responsibilities was conducting daily Y-BOCS (Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale) assessments, which allowed me to track symptom severity and witness measurable progress across just five days. Seeing even small reductions in distress reinforced my belief in structured, data-driven treatment.=I also assisted in:•Individual therapy sessions•Family therapy and psychoeducation for caregivers•Art therapy sessions integrated into the program=This experience strengthened my clinical confidence in:•OCD case formulation and hierarchy buildingAnxiety monitoring and behavioral assessment•Managing reassurance-seeking and resistance compassionately•Working in a fast-paced, high-structure therapeutic settingMost importantly, this role taught me how powerful therapeutic presence, structured intervention, and teamwork can be in helping individuals regain control over their lives.
