ABOUT SOFIA VIANDAZ

I like to analyze market conditions and macroeconomic events. It´s always challenging and never the same. It ́s like a puzzle, you need to twist and turn every piece to make it fit and it isn ́t until you lay the last piece that you get the full motif. To be able to do so you need a team of smart, driven and questioning individuals and I´m one of them. This puzzle is distinctive for each client which makes the need for customer service crucial. For this reason my combination of economics studies and job as a sales manager makes me perfect for a position within global markets. I also believe that in a constantly changing global economy, the need for good analytics both for small and large companies are increasing in demand and I want to be a part of that journey. In this changing environment, we see traditional banking being challenged by the increase of FinTech companies. This may create big challenges for banks if they are not able to adjust which makes it an even more exciting business to be in because it gives me the opportunity to be part of the ride from traditional banking to the future of banking. An additional factor is that I ́m very resultoriented and goal driven due to my previous career as an 800m runner. This makes me perform on top and deliver under pressured situations which is important in any role I take on. Back then, for everyone on my team to perform on top on race day the key to success was to help each other during practices. We did so by pushing limits, by shifting who was leading the intervals and by being a good team player. I picture myself feeling the same as I did back when I stood on the starting line, waiting on the words “ on your marks”, “set”. Those moments when I knew that I had done everything in my power to perform on top. I love that feeling in my stomach and it is a feeling that I want to create in all my future positions.
