About Sofia Aun

I am a current employee of Truist, working as the Community Affairs Manager for the state of Georgia. In my role, I lead our grant making from the local allocation of the Truist Foundation, Truist Charitable Fund and Trusteed Foundations statewide by meeting with community organizations to identify needs and driving collective impact between the region teams, community development/CRA, and philanthropy. Increasing teammate community engagement through volunteerism and Board service is another part of my role, as well as tracking Truist investments and collaborating with Marketing to communicate our impact story. I also serve as the liaison for Truist Government Affairs activities in Georgia. I’m passionate about my community and served on the 2022 Transition Team for Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and formerly served as the Director of Latinx Strategy for Mayor Dickens’ 2021 Mayoral Campaign and was a member of his Young Professional Committee and later served on his Inauguration Committee. I also served as a member of City Council President Doug Shipman’s Latino Leaders Council and the Women for Shipman Committee. I\'m an alumna of the LEAD Atlanta 2019 Class and am a graduate of the Leadership Georgia class of 2023. I served in a volunteer capacity as the Community Engagement Director for the Sara J. González Park from 20••••22, which is the first park in the state of Georgia to be named after a Latino individual. I am passionate about connecting people and nonprofits to the resources they need to grow and thrive.
