About Sofia Luna
I’m a first-generation college student majoring in Biology with a minor in Public Health at UC Davis. I obtained my associates degree in Biology at Diablo Valley College. I’ll be pursuing a masters degree as a physician assistant and plan to specialize in dermatology and advocate for individuals suffering from skin picking disorders, specifically within minority communities where there\'s cultural barriers that prevent individuals seeking medical assistance. I’m affiliated with the AvenueB Program at UC Davis’ College of Biological Sciences, a program for students to positively impact the elimination of barriers that prevent full participation of women and underrepresented minorities in STEM. Furthermore, I’m a member of Tri Delta who has partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to raise funds and support children\'s cancer charities.
