ABOUT SOFIA PEREZ

Currently managing the AMP program\'s daily operations, I focus on achieving our goals and enhancing effectiveness through strategic planning. My role involves providing direct client support, including intake assessments and case management, while maintaining comprehensive records of client interactions. I also prepare quarterly reports for the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) and ensure compliance with state regulations. Additionally, I oversee financial management by tracking expenses, managing budgets, and submitting accurate quarterly vouchers for payment. My past experience includes being selected as one of five fellows for the Future Leaders in Action Summer 2024 fellowship, where I partnered with Today’s Students, Tomorrow’s Teachers, supporting the foundation of the organization by updating virtual databases and managing behind-the-scenes operations. Skilled at building grassroots momentum from online to on-ground strategies, I excel in coordinating teams, delivering key messages, and motivating diverse groups around legislative discourse and community impact. My strong verbal, written, and multilingual communication skills have been recognized for their effectiveness in building consensus and driving progress on issues like, voting engagement, and women’s empowerment. Graduated with a Bachelor\'s degree in Political Science.
