About Sofia Liaw
My journey at Capital One began in the two-year Management Rotation Program (MRP) where I learned invaluable lessons about project and process management and cultivated a passion for what I believe companies\' most valuable resource is - their people. After three rewarding years with my customer being our internal associates, I wanted the chance to learn more about the credit card business and our external customers. This led me to my current role as the Card Integration Schedule Management Lead where I guide cross-functional product and tech teams through the Minute-by-Minute (MBM) development process. Our MBMs direct the integration through converting millions of Discover Financial Systems\' customer accounts to Capital One\'s system.My first rotation was on a process improvement and optimization team in Human Resources where I built my foundation in process documentation and assessment. My second rotation was on the Enterprise Platforms Technology Business Operations Strategy team where I led our People Leadership Enablement program, Associate Learning and Development, and stood up Organizational Research and Associate Insights. I chose to remain on the team post MRP and rigorously continued to design feedback gathering mechanisms (surveys/focus groups), advocated to senior leadership, and solutioned on all things Associate Experience. Before entering the corporate world, I graduated from Wesleyan University where I completed a traditional four-year degree in three with a triple major in Spanish, Psychology, and Education Studies.
