About Sofia Barongi
I am a senior at the University of South Carolina pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and currently completing my capstone practicum in the Surgical Trauma ICU at Prisma Health Richland, a Level I Trauma Center. I recently completed an internship in the Cardiothoracic ICU at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where I gained hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. On campus, I am actively involved in the Student Nurses Association, Zeta Tau Alpha, Sigma Theta Tau, and Women in Healthcare, and I volunteer with Be the Match. I have maintained President’s List honors for seven consecutive semesters, reflecting my commitment to academic excellence and professional growth.
