About Steven Maheshwary
AI go-to-market (GTM) and business development leader driving GTM and partnerships at Anthropic, with a background that spans the public sector as well as startups, Microsoft, and Amazon. Most recently served as a GTM and Strategic BD leader at AWS, responsible for driving GTM/growth and business architecture for Gen AI startups. Notably served as Governor Inslee\'s Technology Sector Lead chartered with growing Washington\'s $100B tech and AI economy, where I focused on incubating AI/ML ecosystem, driving responsible AI policy, and bolstering AI startup funding prior to the advent of gen AI.Outside of my current role, I have served as a board member for several Washington-area organizations notably including: Washington Technology Industry Association (largest tech trade association of 1100+ startups in America), Western Governors University Washington, Washington\'s Center of Excellence for Technology, and DemocracyLab.org. Previously appointed to and elected chair of Seattle\'s Technology Advisory Board, where I advised Seattle\'s Mayor and City Council on technology and information policy including on responsible AI, digital equity, privacy/cybersecurity, and more. I previously received a Fulbright Scholarship and the inaugural Perplexity AI Business Fellowship. Originally from Houston, TX and a graduate of Harvard University.
