ABOUT MICHAEL SNIDER

I\'m a flexible and versatile journalist, comfortable in myriad roles, including editing, writing, web publishing and site maintenance. As a senior member of the programming team, my skills travel. Some weeks I\'m Morning Editor, arriving at 5am and making sure The Globe\'s digital properties are up to date, editing overnight files from The Globe\'s foreign correspondents and setting the day\'s news priorities. Some weeks I\'m Evening Editor, deciding which stories go into the paper and working closely with reporters and editors to ensure every story is complete and compelling. I\'m also the lead editor involved with our newsletters, which have become a cornerstone of The Globe\'s subscriber product strategy. I work closely with editors who write or compile newsletters and monitor and evaluate newsletter data and analytics. And as an editorial superuser of our Arc suite of publishing tools, I design training programs and train The Globe\'s summer staff reporters and programming editors.Prior to programming, I produced the Folio section, working on a single daily story, which includes editing, display writing and working with print layout and design as well as using my digital skills to build a visual story for all digital platforms. The decade prior to Folio, I worked primarily as a digital specialist, including roles as Mobile Editor, Multimedia Editor and editor of Globetechnology.com
