ABOUT SNEHAL M. GAIKWAD

Accomplished and agile research professional with 14 years of experience in the fields of oncology, drug discovery and development, and immune oncology. I have authored more than 14 publications in high-impact journals. I strongly believe in the ‘Bench to Bedside’ approach in research to design and establish targeted therapies in cancer management. I have experience in high-throughput approaches for drug screening, discovery, and development with the combinational therapeutic approach and molecular imaging in a non-clinical setting. I am proficient in planning and leading multidisciplinary scientific projects, and cross-functional collaborations, with strong problem-solving ability. I am highly organized and efficient in working independently as well as in a team. I enjoy mentoring and have voluntary experience in entrepreneurship, technology transfer, business development, and science communication. I want to leverage my expertise in biomedical science, relationship-building, and interpersonal communication to facilitate therapeutic development. Experience in product development and possess regulatory acumen with an ability to evaluate and characterize small molecules as anticancer agents by varying cell-based assays and preclinical to clinical translation studies resulting in fellowship funding from NCI Transition to Industry (T2I) program. Self-motivated and sharp researcher with the ability of scientific knowledge of disease-associated pathways, chemo-resistance, biomarker identification, and patient stratifications, resulting in poster and oral presentations in 6 international conferences.
