Study of Tender / Contract Document which includes Technical specifications, scope of work, commercial terms & conditions, study of drawings etc. Identifying risks involved in the job at pre-contract stage. Estimating price for Oil and Gas projects which include material & services portion for Platforms, Subsea Pipelines and revamping Oil and Gas projects etc. The scope includes estimation of Structural steel, pipe, fitting, flanges, valves, specialty items, electrical & instrumentation, safety & navigational items for the material part and services estimate (Transportation & installation, hook up & topside modification, marine fleet estimate, Loadout, detailed engineering etc.) required for the project. Compiling market rates for material and subcontractor item including evaluation of subcontractor proposal. Attending Pre-bid meetings, Site visits etc. and Prepare internal tentative estimate for Bid – No Bid form. Helping in preparation of Tender Contract synopsis and present to management for Bid/ No Bid decision. Providing Technical & Pricing inputs extracting from Tender documents to various disciplines Conduct a Bid Kick Off meeting to start the bidding process, discuss the bidding strategy and Lessons Learned from similar previous projects. Act as focal point for all estimation and pricing activities for assigned tender; developing input formats and cost break down structure based on client’s Price form requirements. Review of techno-commercial inputs and pricing inputs vis-à-vis benchmarks for similar projects. Ensuring that commercial submissions of tenders are fully complied with all necessary details. Estimating projects with a proper workable execution methodology with sufficient explanatory notes/information projecting good estimation practice. Preparing pre-bid commercial and Technical Bid Tabulation indicating clear basis for consideration of offers. Maintain database for Lessons Learnt from existing projects.
