I\'ve spent the last 4 years building products that millions of people use, the backend systems that power them, and the interfaces they see.At Vanguard, I build and maintain the authentication platform that protects investor accounts. Login flows, MFA, and account recovery. If something breaks here, the business feels it immediately. I also design the GraphQL APIs connecting those backend services to frontend clients, so I\'m thinking about both sides of that contract constantly. Owning both ends changes how you write code.Before Vanguard, I was at Amazon, building hiring and workforce management tools in full-stack. Java and Spring Boot on the backend, React and TypeScript on the frontend, PostgreSQL underneath, Kafka moving data between services.
