About Sneha Khedkar

I completed my BS in Microbiology and Biochemistry and my MS in Biochemistry. After this, I explored the scientific research field as a research fellow at the Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine (inStem), Bangalore. During my tenure there, I was studying the role of hair follicle stem cells (HFSCs) during in wound healing in mammalian skin.After working in the research field for over four years, I decided to hang up my lab coat and embrace the writer in me, as somewhere along the way, I realized that I enjoyed writing about science more than doing science. In the field of science journalism, my strengths lie in reading complex scientific literature and making sense of it. I like writing about science especially in the areas where it intersects with society.
