About Sneha Nehra

Hi everyone! I’m Sneha, a postgraduate student in Clinical Psychology, taking one step at a time to make mental health support more accessible and acceptable. My interest in psychology stems from personal experiences of mental health struggles which made me curious about how the mind navigates complex functions and challenging emotions. How we think, feel and try to make sense of things when everything feels heavy. It also made me realise just how powerful good mental health support can be. That realisation has stayed with me since and now I hope to be that source of support for someone else. I’m especially interested in positive psychology and not merely as a research interest but a way to see people beyond their symptoms, to focus on their strengths and emotions. I wish to explore more about positive emotions and strength based approaches, and how positive psychology can be used with more intentionality in mental health care. On a more personal note, I’m deeply committed to reduce the stigma around mental health which prevents people from seeking the help they need. I believe everyone has a right to access adequate mental health support without any judgement.
