The Racine Literacy Council (RLC) is a non-profit organization that provides adult literacy programs in Racine County and raises community awareness of the importance and impact of literacy.The Racine Literacy Council provides tutoring in basic reading, writing, and math, as well as English, GED prep, Citizenship classes, Conversation classes, Computer classes, Drivers Education, Financial and Health literacy. Key Achievements Include-Oversee functional operations alongside the Board of Directors, including policy formation, organizational management, and project planning while leading a team of 200 teachers, counselors, volunteers, students, etc-Led the implementation of a virtual/distance learning platform, increasing the adult student population by 25% during the COVID-19 pandemic - Maintain the financial stability of the organization by administering and updating financial practices to align with the organization’s business needs; devise resource allocation strategies to efficiently distribute an annual budget - Create and integrate goal tracking, performance management, and evaluation strategies for six staff members; facilitate relevant training and professional development opportunities for continuous improvement - Partner with internal and external stakeholders across various departments, including HR, finance, sponsorships, volunteers, project managers, trainers, and vendors to delegate and successfully deliver organizational projects- Coordinated with the Racine Police Department’s Community Oriented Policing (COP) House Program in developing and leading an adult computer training program for COP House community members
