Manage statewide team of 13 who perform all aspects of oncology trials from site selection to closeout, resulting in site start-up timeline of 3-6 weeks, and first site open/first patient enrolled with approximately 25% of open trials.• Identifies areas for efficiency improvement and initiates tools/processes for Phases 1-3 Coordinators and Data Coordinators.• Provide study specific training of existing and new team members.• Communicates quality and performance improvement opportunities and collaborates with staff in the development of action plans for improvement which include development of performance metrics.• Promote educational opportunities to further oncology knowledge of all research team.• Identify low accruing trials and conduct meeting between research team and physician team to discuss and identify ways to accrue or what the roadblocks are.• Foster new network connections resulting in an increased trial offering for cancer patients across Nebraska.• Create and maintain solid relationships with existing and new sponsors and/or vendors, resulting in “first look” at new trials and trials that will be upcoming.• Developing partnership agreements with sponsors, allowing for protocol input, first access, increased efficiency in trial conduct, and authorship for local Principal Investigators.• Manage trial portfolio and feasibility process which results in steady enrollment with no less than 95% of the overall portfolio• Multiple successful IND submissions to the FDA for compassionate use of drugs, completing within a 10 day window.• Negotiation of site and budget contracts with 90% of them being fully executed within 4 weeks.• Built quarterly research performance report which identifies enrollment, which physicians enrolled, and overall research engagement of physicians.• Designed monthly update that goes to all practices highlighting high accruing trials, low accruing trials, what is coming soon, and reminding what has opened each month.
