About Susan Haldeman
I went from being a theatrical managing director to directly managing myself and my passions. I had been working as a theatre administrator for 10+ years after having been a professional performer, and stage manager for 20+ years. When I started my administrative career, I was looking for more stability in my life. I found my administrative job(s) rewarding in many ways, but because I also missed being more creative and hands on, I started my own wig design business. Working in the various facets of the theatrical stage has been a privilege. When Covid hit and theaters were forced to shut their doors, I had time to think about what it was I really wanted to do. I thought about the facets of my job that I enjoyed the most. I was able, because I worked for theatres, to get experience in both the casting process as well as wig design. So, I opened a wig design business. Now I work with various theatres creating wig designs for their productions.Having recently moved to Manchester, CT, I am now starting a new job search with the goal of having my next adventure be something I love. I am very passionate and dedicated to the performing arts and the people involved in creative pursuits. My hope is that I will eventually find my next new adventure and become a part of an organization that feels I am a good fit for their creative and/or administrative team.
