I am a seasoned construction professional with extensive experience in cost estimating, quantity surveying, and project control, specializing in delivering accurate cost assessments, value engineering, and budget optimization across diverse sectors, including residential, commercial, interior fit-out, and oil & gas. My expertise spans the entire project lifecycle, from pre-construction estimating to post-contract cost management, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Currently, as a Senior Cost Consultant at Turner & Townsend, I provide comprehensive cost consulting services across various real estate asset classes. I excel in preparing detailed cost estimates, benchmarking unit costs, and validating post-contract changes to ensure financial accuracy. My role involves researching construction market trends, integrating project insights into internal databases, and conducting life cycle cost evaluations to optimize project finances and maximize stakeholder value. I also manage cost reports, utilize tools like Cost X and Bluebeam for precise quantity assessments, and implement value engineering strategies to enhance project outcomes. During my tenure as a Senior Estimator/Quantity Surveyor at S&T Interiors and Contracting, I successfully prepared tender packages, negotiated value engineering solutions, and managed multiple projects. I increased project value through effective cost control and variation management, while maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, architects, and clients. Earlier in my career, I worked as an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor at Al Haditha Petroleum Services in Oman, where I developed subcontractor and supplier databases, led cost estimation and budget management, and implemented robust project reporting frameworks. I also managed project claims and cash flow, ensuring seamless funding and financial compliance. I hold a Master’s degree in Project Management from Northumbria University and a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying from the University of Wolverhampton. I have achieved my Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) certification and am currently pursuing PMP and Gold Seal certifications to further enhance my ability to contribute to complex and high-value construction projects.
