About Scott Eckstein
A personal passion, directly related to my own grandparents, inspires me to make a difference by bettering the lives of seniors. I am a long-time advocate of specially-designed communities, which includes the use of technology, where those in the mature markets and especially the frail elderly can live in stimulating, comfortable and safe environments while maintaining their dignity and continue to live a life with purpose.be it in their own home or at purpose-built senior community.My experience allows me to be uniquely attuned to the complexity and sensitivity of social issues in the senior living industry while having a practical understanding of the reality of day to day operations having helped create and operate a range of social and residential alternatives for the aging population as well as work to find matches for talent and operators alike. In 1996, I began work on the first assisted living development project in Brooklyn, New York; which filled a tremendous need in the area for its many seniors. I then went on to be a member of the team that developed the first purpose-built active adult, senior community in Europe to operating assisted living and dementia businesses for some of the best senior housing companies in the United States.
