That’s the problem we’re solving at Droplet. We help organizations ditch paperwork and replace it with digital forms and automated workflows. What started in a garage in 2020 has now raised over $10M from top investors like Pelion, Ryan Smith, Todd Pedersen, and Josh James, and we’ve built a business generating high 7-figure ARR.My path into tech wasn’t typical. I wrote my first lines of code at 24 after working in sales, marketing, and technical support. I taught myself to code and worked my way up as a software engineer at companies like Qualtrics and Auth0 before launching Droplet. Along the way, I learned that people don’t just buy products for their functionality; they choose products that are thoughtfully designed and beautiful. I push my team to create software that looks as good as it works, because customers trust products that reflect a commitment to excellence.As a leader, I focus on intellectual honesty, avoiding ego, and making work fun. Prioritizing what to build and staying focused is key in the early days, and I believe work-life balance is achievable, even at a startup. I’ve also learned that the ability to persuade — whether in sales, hiring, or leadership — is a superpower. It’s not just about what you build, but how you can share a compelling vision. I believe that success comes from a combination of deep, focused work and continuous learning. Teaching myself to code taught me that real growth happens when you’re willing to dive in, stay curious, and push through discomfort.What excites me most is taking something from zero to one — the process of turning an idea into a reality. Building Droplet from the ground up has been a journey of relentless focus, creativity, and constant iteration. I thrive in the early stages, where the path is uncertain and the challenges are toughest, because that’s where the real breakthroughs happen. Whether it’s crafting the first version of a product or closing that first deal, the energy of creating something from nothing is what drives me. It’s the heart of entrepreneurship and what keeps me pushing forward.
