Educator, coach, and collaborative thought partner, addressing opportunity gaps in our communities. Counseling from a holistic approach, including a focus on providing academic and career support services geared toward enhancing the overall student experience and personal development. As an Umoja Scholars Community and Society of Scholars Learning Communities faculty, I work closely with faculty, staff, and administrators to assist incoming and continuing students throughout their educational journeys, including facilitation of activities and trainings for service area high school college advising and counseling staff. Additionally, this educational platform includes teaching a variety of courses, including Life and Career Planning, Career Exploration, and College Success. Co-Lead Facilitator, 2020 Vision, College and Career Readiness Work Group: Facilitation of the College and Career Readiness Work Group, collaborating with UC Berkeley, Berkeley City College, Berkeley Unified School District, UCB Center for Educational Partnerships, City of Berkeley Office of the Mayor, CIty of Berkeley Parks & Recreation Dept, Y-Teen Center, Youth Works, and a multitude of community partner organizations, to develop and implement programs, opportunities, and platforms that result in the promotion of viable options for college and career for all students. Develop pathways that increase equitable access for all students, particularly those from traditionally underserved backgrounds in higher education.
