I have 20+ years experience as a leader and manager of teams in logistics, project management, systems improvement, risk management, and strategic leadership with government agencies and the private sector. I deliver safe, reliable logistics services and do not hesitate to take on a situation with little to no infrastructure and build it from the ground up. Simply stated, I enjoy start-up operations.In my roles at USAID and Shell Qatar, in addition to my world travels and diverse cultural experiences has enabled me to build relationships and establish trust with people whether they are on my team, in other departments, or are contractors, vendors and industry partners. Delivering people and materials on time without compromising safety takes an expert logistics specialist and, perhaps more importantly, a well-trained team skilled in self-management. I believe in coaching people to discover their strengths and to identify and systematically remove obstacles. Key Achievements: Managed field office start-ups and close-outs, relief supply delivery, developed country/regional strategies for field offices, DARTs and assessment teams. Built a team of 50 field disaster relief experts to be on-call for USAID that included Program Officers, Logisticians, and Public Health Professionals. Successfully managed the transition for The Pearl Project, building the World\'s Largest Gas Plant from construction, commissioning and start up to steady state operations in Qatar Shell’s Land Transport Activities. Successfully delivered two major turnarounds (the largest in Royal Dutch Shell) and one unplanned plant shutdown with no logistics incidents as the Logistics Lead.
