About Skye Tianyi Liu
Skye is an graduate student in the Visual Arts Administration at New York University. Majored in Communication, she graduated from the Communication University of Zhejiang with an honored thesis, “The Role Media Plays in Shaping LGBTQ’s Social Identity and the Decision of Coming Out.” She is the founder of VAA Net Club and a co-chair of Other Content, the NYU curatorial collective. She worked and interned in both for-profit and non-profit sectors in the art field, such as Chambers Fine Art (New York), International Studio and Curatorial Program (Brooklyn), and Long March Space(Beijing). As an emerging curator, she co-curated the 20th Anniversary Exhibition for Fountain House Gallery, and organized a solo show for artist Sebastian Burger as part of the 8 Spruce Art Project in NYC. She is currently working on her master thesis, using the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum(ISGM)’s After Hours as a framework to examine art museum’s public program in China.
