About Skye Austin
A girl from a small town in Maine found her way into an industry she didn\'t even know existed, and never looked back. I\'ve spent over a decade at the frontline of business development and commercial sales in renewable energy, watching firsthand how biogas transforms waste into something genuinely valuable: clean energy, economic opportunity, and a more resilient food and agriculture system. Today I serve as Vice Chair of the American Biogas Council and Sales Director at Stark Tech Renewables, where I help businesses capture the full potential of their RNG and biogas projects by optimizing gas upgrading systems for profitability and performance. Before this, I led RNG business development at Peaks Renewables and headed commercial sales at Summit Natural Gas of Maine, expanding markets and bringing cleaner energy to more communities across the region. Biogas sits at the intersection of energy, agriculture, waste, and environmental stewardship. It is one of the rare spaces where pragmatic infrastructure, environmental progress, and real economic value for communities all exist in the same conversation. That is what gets me out of bed every morning. I believe the next wave of growth in this industry will be built by people who combine technical fluency with commercial creativity and a genuine commitment to the mission.
