ABOUT SANTOSH KUMAR SAHU
I am an Associate Professor of Economics in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, also holding associate faculty positions at the School of Sustainability, the Energy Consortium and the School of Interdisciplinary Studies at IIT Madras. My expertise spans energy economics, applied microeconomics, industrial and institutional economics, and the economics of global climate change, including techno-economic analysis and Life Cycle Assessment. I earned my Ph.D. in Economics from IIT Bombay in 2013 with a dissertation on \"Economics of Energy Use in Indian Industries,\" and previously taught at the Madras School of Economics and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya. At IIT Madras, I instruct courses such as Statistical Inference, International Economics, Energy Economics, Climate Economics, Principles of Economics, Applied Economics, and Applied Econometrics, and have been recognized with awards including the Trend Setters Grant Award, Australia Awards Fellowship, and Prof. Raghuram Rajan\'s \"Young Scholar Grant Award.\"
