Program Coordinator - Preventure Program @Foundry

I am incredibly grateful to have found a place at Foundry BC, an organization deeply committed to reducing the stigma around mental health and substance use. Foundry is breaking down barriers so that young people feel more comfortable reaching out for connection, support, and access to services. With a province-wide network of Foundry Centres and virtual care options, Foundry is helping to ensure that youth across British Columbia have access to the care they need, when and where they need it.As part of this mission, the PreVenture® Program is one of the many initiatives Foundry is leading to support prevention and early intervention models of mental health and substance use services for youth ages 12-24. PreVenture is an evidence-based program that uses brief, personality-focused workshops to promote mental well-being and delay or reduce substance use among youth. Designed for students in grades 7-9, the program equips young people with self-efficacy and cognitive and behavioral skills to navigate common challenges such as stress, peer pressure, and identity development. By providing BC schools with comprehensive support—including training for school staff, access to ongoing coaching and implementation resources, and covering program participation costs—Foundry is enhancing program success and sustainability.As a Program Coordinator for the PreVenture Program, I am honored to contribute to this impactful work. My role encompasses program administration, process development, and school implementation support. I work closely with educators and stakeholders to develop materials and resources, support onboarding and training, identify areas for optimization, and assist with communication and marketing opportunities. In this role, I feel valued and empowered to help shape a program that is making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
