Mike is a Brooklyn-based software developer with over 10 years of experience in-industry, both in individual contributor and engineering leadership roles. He is interested in software and software businesses as cooperative and human endeavors, and as adventures. He derives great satisfaction from enabling software teams to succeed by enthusiastically advocating for and empathetically facilitating their work, while guiding software projects toward outcomes that drive business success. In the course of his career he has accrued a bevy of accomplishments to reminisce upon with pride, but the greatest joy he has had in his career has been the mentorship he has been able to provide to a large number of young software developers and interns, and seeing their subsequent successes in industry.Mike began his career working in the world of blockchains, where he had a front row seat to and a contributing role in the inception and rise of the Ethereum blockchain. He is the author of “Token-Curated Registries 1.0”, a widely cited paper which originally formalized the basic design and properties of such cryptosystems. In 2017 Mike founded the Cryptosystems Productization Lab (CPL) at ConsenSys, guiding the work of an integrated team of engineers and designers with a broad mandate to productize novel cryptoeconomic technologies.Mike graduated from Columbia University with a BA in computer science.
