ABOUT CHRIS TURNER

I am a highly experienced software developer, senior architect and team leader specialising in the full lifecycle implementation and delivery of highly scalable enterprise and internet applications. I have over twenty years experience building solutions using the Java ecosystem, its associated technologies and frameworks. As well as core Java I also have extensive experience in other JVM languages, including Kotlin and Scala. My experience spans the whole project life-cycle from initial concept development through analysis, design, code, test, deployment and into ongoing maintenance. I am a strong advocate of agile development practices and a practiced Scrum Master. I have hands-on experience with setting up continuous integration and delivery tools and processes. My particular strengths are in being able to quickly visualise and architect simple and realistic solutions to complex problems. I can also efficiently turn these ideas into working, tested code. My communication skills are excellent and I am a capable team leader, mentor and trainer with experience of building and running development teams and working directly with customers. My work history ranges from start-ups, SMEs through to large blue-chip organisations. Most recently I have been working as the Technical Architect for a green-tech company, building innovative home energy management solutions.
