1.Designs hardware products; including ideation, 3D concept, 3D design, 2D dimensioned drawings, validation2.Maintains PDM server regularly and updates all CAD models3.Generates CAD files such as STEP, STL, DXF, DWG files for manufacturers4.Produces renderings and any supporting visuals for client presentations and concepts5.Provides input on DFM and DFA processes while having working knowledge of different manufacturing and assembly processes and principles as well as material selection6.Predicts design improvements required for efficient product development from prototypes and helps design production models by creating 3D models and engineering drawings7.Sources and streamlines the acquisition of components required in the BOM for production units while maintaining supply chain documentation and identifying suitable vendors8.Ensures that CAD drawings meet the required GD & T standards for manufacturing and assembly9.Liaises with manufacturing companies and participates in the product life-cycle from inception to production10.Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards11.Provides input on product selection and has advanced understanding of optical electronics as well as computer building12.Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends13.Generates assembly manuals and installation documentation14.Trains, times, evaluates assembly processes as required for efficient assembly process15.Works with the implementation team and keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services
