ABOUT SANDEEP KUMAR CHALUVADI

I am a Thin Film Process Engineer and Materials Scientist with over 6 years of hands-on experience in physical vapor deposition (PLD, sputtering), semiconductor microfabrication, and advanced material characterization. My core expertise lies in developing and optimizing thin film growth protocols for a wide variety of functional materials—ranging from oxide perovskites and 2D materials to superconductors and spintronic devices. As a Research Technologist at CNR-IOM, I lead process development and user support within the NFFA-Europe infrastructure, managing dual-PLD deposition clusters integrated in-situ with synchrotron-based beamlines (XPS, XMCD, ARPES). I collaborate across disciplines to enable atomic-scale material design and characterization, supporting both in-house and external industrial/academic users. My experience spans complete device development cycles—from photomask design (AutoCAD), UV lithography, RIE etching, metallization, and laser annealing to electrical/magnetic testing and analysis. I’ve also worked on EU Horizon 2020 projects focused on MEMS-based bio-sensing and magnetic anisotropy control. Passionate about bridging research and industrial applications, I’m actively seeking R&D or engineering roles in advanced materials, MEMS, or semiconductor sectors where I can translate my lab-scale expertise into scalable manufacturing solutions.
