Created a defense-in-depth regulatory strategy enabling Arevon adhere to NERC, FERC, and public utility commission standards, statutes, and regulations by collaborating with O&M providers, vendors, and external consultants. Identify, assess, control, and monitor compliance risks. Implement corrective action plans to mitigate compliance risks and issues while forging strong relationships with regulators. Laid the foundations of an overarching Corporate Compliance Policy encompassing Internal Compliance Programs (NERC & FERC), and employee training. Mobilizing an internal stakeholder driven Government, Regulatory Affairs, and Compliance Committee (GACC) for effective handling and disposition of potential non-compliances (PNCs). As Regulatory Affairs employee #1, operationalizing a significant initiative to transition several currently outsourced NERC/FERC compliance efforts in-house, creating a long-term compliance strategy and bringing in $1M annually. Hiring, mentoring, and growing a Regulatory Affairs team dedicated to engaging and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate compliance and focus on continuous improvement.
