Courses taught:HED 591- Crisis Response and Management in Higher Education (F17, Sp 18, F19, SP20)This course focuses on the growing and complex nature of crisis management and crisis response in higher education. Students explore trends in college student mental health, as well as explore legislative and policy implications for responding to student crises. Students explore issues of sex and gender based violence, Title IX compliance, behavior intervention, threat assessment, and bias response. Students develop their own personal approach to crisis response throughout the course and develop their own philosophy of student support in crisis.
