Designing a new API and associated systems to serve financial regulatory data, and leading teams to create it.This position has involved creating a new REST API and associated data ingestion components to provide regulatory data to consumers. I designed the system from scratch, integrating it with legacy services and specifying its auth capabilities. Over time I built up the teams now responsible for the project, which involved onboarding, upskilling, and performance management where appropriate.Ensuring the success of the project has required continuous stakeholder management, liaising closely with business representatives to agree scope, sequencing and timelines, and to ensure that our data accurately reflects the complexities of financial regulation.The product is cloud-hosted (AWS) and uses serverless components in an event-driven architecture.Key technologies: • Kotlin • NodeJS, TypeScript • AWS (Lambda, ECS, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation, Athena, Glue) • GitHub Actions
