Now working as a Decarbonisation Lead, I support the delivery of energy efficiency and carbon reduction programmes across the social housing sector—helping align our organisation’s strategy with national net zero targets.With a hands-on background as an Electrical Supervisor and over 25 years in the trade, I bring practical insight to the challenges and opportunities of retrofit and decarbonisation. My previous role as a Technical Development Project Lead focused on trialling and evaluating innovative solutions—including Internal Wall Insulation (IWI), Cavity Wall Insulation (CWI), and Underfloor Insulation (UFI)—to help shape future investment decisions and improve resident outcomes.I continue to apply project management principles in my work, with a focus on risk awareness, compliance, and performance monitoring. I work closely with contractors, coordinators, and internal stakeholders to ensure decarbonisation projects are well-governed, cost-effective, and deliver long-term value.I\'m passionate about making retrofit work in the real world—balancing technical quality with resident needs and programme deliverability.
