ABOUT SHADI JARJOUS
As an experienced physician leader and practicing Hospitalist, Dr. Jarjous\' passion is to inspire his team to deliver the most evidence-based patient-focused, compassionate, equitable and efficient medical care to their hospitalized patients every day and ensure their safe and successful post discharge transition back to their communities. His experience in the areas of strategy, operations, quality, safety, practice management, change management, utilization management, communication, and leadership allowed him to build a comprehensive multifaceted knowledge base across the continuum of care. Leading an outstanding team of 200+ physicians and advanced practice clinicians at Lehigh Valley Health Network’s fifteen hospitals, including a quaternary care center of excellence, Dr. Jarjous was privileged to serve in leadership roles on many organizational projects and committees that aim to provide patients with high value care. Some of the projects in which Dr. Jarjous served in leadership role to improve safety, quality, and efficiency of care delivery include the development of adult clinical care pathways, streamlined admission and transfer processes, hybrid geographic rounding, unit-based multidisciplinary rounds, and discharge efficiency process. He also led Hospital Medicine strategies and operations in collaboration with many other network leaders during multiple expansion projects including the opening of one of the largest Emergency Care & Trauma Center in the country, multiple new community hospitals, multiple Hospitalists-run ICUs, Tele-Hospitalists, and the Acute Care Bridge Clinic, an innovative virtual acute care and transition of care clinic staffed by hospitalists.
