Experimental•More than 8 years of experience in designing free-space and fiberized optical setups for characterization of active and passive fiber based devices (worked with tunable lasers, laser diodes (>50W), spectrum analyzers, OTDR, WDM\'s, switches, and other telecom components).•Understanding of optical fiber transmission networks and its optical components•Characterizing of Passive optical fibers (Attenuation, bending losses, cut-offs etc.).•Characterizing of specialty optical fibers (Er, Er/Yb, Tm, Bi)•Fiber splicing, tapering, end-capping using Fujikura Arcmaster FSM-100P+ splicer•4 years working in the clean room environment for Optical Fiber Fabrication and glass processing also experience of preform fabrication•EDFA design, manufacturing and optimization •Developing prototype amplifiers from breadboard to packaged units. •Laser design and Efficiency measurement Programming and Software •Comsol for designing the multicore fiber geometry.•Matlab for parameters evaluations of the fiber (e.g. crosstalk, effective more area, coupling), and post-processing the acquired amplifier data. •Solidworks to design rack mountable prototype amplifier boxes.•Zemax (Seq. and Non-seq.) for modelling and tolerancing optical systems such as collimators, gratings, PCs etc.•Experience with Optisystem, LabView, Python
