WORK HISTORY
Associate Computational Biologist @Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard
Cambridge, MA, US
Led and assisted computational research projects focusing on structural variants and copy number variants across cancers under the supervision of Rameen Beroukhim (MD/PhD)- Investigating novel \"unmapped\" insertions from structural variant callers and their role in DNA damage repair pathways- Analyzed features of germline and somatic structural variants and used these features to construct an SVM that can separate SVs with an AUC of 0.989- Developing an R package that builds upon existing frameworks of structural variant signatures. This package will allow for the extraction and analysis of structural variants as continuous random variables rather than a multinomial distribution of SV types
