Focusing on cybersecurity and privacy wins sales and improves the customer experience. To achieve these goals, my team and I evaluate every component and new decision of the Security and Privacy Program against increased customer value; this improves the company’s brand by packaging products and services with security. This enhances the value proposition, bolsters market differentiation, and speeds up the sales cycle. I have extensive global experience in APAC, LATAM, and the EU, and have traveled extensively to meet in-person with very large customers on Security and Privacy topics. Executives are looking for someone who can take on the “problem of security and privacy” and assume the responsibility and stewardship of protecting company data and assets. Based on my history with hundreds of businesses, under my guidance leaders are comfortable knowing that security is not a problem; instead, it is a differentiator. The process begins with an assessment and analysis of the current program to understand the status, where improvements need to be made, and any gaps. Using that information, I craft a plan to build or change the program, so it is right-sized for the company and is “standards-based and data driven.” One of my skills is the ability to identify, attract, and motivate experienced individuals and bring them together into a coherent, high-performing team. Coaching, mentoring, training, and growing team members advances their careers and improves their skills, which motivates them to perform the best that they can and remain focused on the company security goals. I have applied time tested disciplines to the cloud native SaaS world with current cloud security best practices by leveraging my previous career in IT/Operations. Because of this, I have been able to embed security more deeply into modern architectures and CI/CD methodologies. Based on my extensive experience and demonstrated history of success, I am confident that I can step into any security leadership role, address any challenges that may exist, and build a strong security program that meets your business’s strategic goals.
