About Siva Sai Jeevanantham
I am primarily a visual artist and communication designer with extensive experience in conflict region, Kashmir. Alongside this, I have received formal training in various visual communication mediums both academically and professionally. Over the past seven years, I\'ve applied my communication design skills across diverse sectors including education, branding & marketing, news media, art galleries, and sustainability consultancy. Additionally, I was a Content Team Coordinator of a design college in Chennai, where I led the creative design team for over two years. My technical skills are diverse, and I am committed to continuous self-education in the realm of communication. Throughout my journey, I have extensively worked with photography, graphic design, journalism, visual anthropology, and filmmaking. This experience and skill have greatly helped me in my current role as a communications assistant at UNHCR India. In my previous organisations, I\'ve contributed to a range of projects including social media and print advertisement campaigns, television commercials, and designing reports and presentations for esteemed organizations like Microsoft, Gitex Impact in Dubai, and the HCL Foundation. I\'ve also undertaken multiple data visualization projects focusing on sustainability assessments for corporates in India and Dubai. As both a journalist and researcher, I\'ve explored synergies between writing and visual storytelling, enriching my workflow. My competency spans across various visual mediums, which I consider my greatest asset. Recently, I completed a certification course in User Interface and User Experience design, enriching my ability to implement visual design in digital interfaces. This interdisciplinary understanding has elevated the quality of my work. If I were to impart one piece of advice to myself, it would be to never cease the pursuit of knowledge. Curiosity and a hunger for learning, regardless of the subject matter, are essential. Knowledge knows no bounds or limitations, and I am dedicated to embracing this ethos in my journey as a communication designer.
