   Handling Cross Traverse, Long Travel, Main Hoist, Aux Hoist - Gearboxes.*Validate the correctness of gearbox assemblies against the respective machinery drawings for cranes.*Ensure all internal and external components, such as shafts, gears, bearings, housing, couplings (FGC, HGC), and brakes, meet the required specifications.*Crosscheck all technical documents, including IS 3177 crane duty class, KISSsoft calculations for DIN 3990, and customer-specific data, for accuracy and compliance with design standards.*Design and draft gearbox components and assemblies in both 3D and 2D formats using AutoCAD, NXCAD, SolidWorks, and Siemens NX.*Prepare detailed part assembly models, drawings, and ensure accurate documentation.*Develop new gearbox designs tailored to specific crane applications, ensuring the design factors and calculations align with the endurance limits and operational requirements.*Perform gear power rating calculations and design factor evaluations using KISSsoft software.*Perform detailed calculations for shaft strength, focusing on bending, torsional stress, and fatigue.*Select appropriate materials and bearings based on load conditions and operational requirements.*Design shafts considering bending, torsion, and fatigue factors to ensure optimal performance and durability.*Design and select suitable cooling and lubrication systems to ensure efficient operation and longevity of gearboxes.*Prepare manufacturing and process drawings with the appropriate Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD & T).*Develop and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), process routing, and engineering change orders (ECOs).*Assist in the design and development of crane hook blocks and brake additions as needed.
