   Procurement and Subcontracts Job profile: • Provide inputs to the procurement strategy for materials to be sourced centrally in domestic markets, or to be imported in consultation with the user department. • Handled Subcontract works GTI, Topo Survey, Dwall Construction, Excavation works, Segment Transportation, Batching plant operations and maintenance, Supply fabrications and installation of DAM gates for Setamma Sagar project, Pre-stressing works for Segments Spans, TBM Refurbishment, • Handled high value order for procurement of machinery like TBM, Segment moulds, Segment Gaskets, Inserts, Construction chemicals,Oil & lubricants, RMC, Aggregate, Sand to Metro projects.• Annual Procurement handled is around 400 Crores.• Handled partnership deals with overseas suppliers to Make in India there by saving transportation and customs clearance cost to increase profit to L&T.• Techno commercial evaluation through PUGH Matrix and AHP.• Assessing performance of the vendors based on commercial terms • Checking Vendor Registrations and Documentation • Drafting contracts/ agreements for Metros, Hydel and Defence projects for Supply and /or work contracts.• Manage entire Bidding process including Request for Information, Expression of Interest, RFQ Process.• Manage procurement processes, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and price finalization.• Using different strategies for negotiation based on supplier mind set, willingness, market situation and competency. • Issue purchase order as per approvals and monitor progress of activities with vendor.• Carryout inspection at Chennai port to check material received is per packing list submitted and submit material inspection report with damages and missing items.• Budget updating against actual expenditure and notifying the Business head.• Facilitate communication and dispute resolution with vendors.• Post order co-ordination and settlement of disputes between contractor and project team.
