Acting as a Front-End focused Tech Lead to build the next gen. app for Editors. For clients that include BT, to manage and curate upcoming TV/movie promotions in an intuitive and ‘no-code’ UI. This is built with React, TypeScript and Vite on the Front-End and my main responsibilities include: Driving technical/design decisions, including pioneering the use of a new tech. stack, such as Vite Creating UI wireframes to lead design decisions Leading planning and refinement meetings Owning the build process from the startWorking to deliver UK’s first free live internet TV platform. This application will be the next stage of evolution for free TV in the UK and will be used by millions of viewers. My role is Front-End leaning (i.e. React, TypeScript) and my key responsibilities include: Leading team of 7 Engineers, to deliver the Manual Software Update feature Building out the pages for the User’s First Time Setup process (i.e. Terms and Conditions screen) Driving UI strategy for our Company’s component library Building out test reporting metrics with Kibana which increased error visibility across the whole app Mentoring other developers, especially on Front-End skills in a Back-End heavy team

I am a Software Engineer currently working at Youview, working to deliver UK’s first free live internet TV platform that will be used by millions of viewers.Previously I have worked at Snap, Lantum, Thriva etc where my primary responsibilities are Front-End focused (TypeScript, React, CSS) and occasional interaction with Back-End services (Python, Django). Additionally, I also have experience with MongoDB, NodeJS with Express, and PostgreSQL DB.Prior to completing General Assembly\'s SEI 12 week Coding Bootcamp, I was a Geotechnical Engineer of 4 years with experience in leading small teams as well as the timely delivery of high profile projects like HS2.Outside of work, I have taken part in Hackathons (3rd place in GA Boston Hackathon 2020), building side projects (Budget Tracker App), and expanding my knowledge base (currently looking to focus on TDD and Redux).
