ABOUT SITONG DING
Sitong Ding is a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) affiliated with the Centre for Macroeconomics, and an Academic Visitor at the Bank of England. His research interests broadly lie in macroeconomics and monetary economics. Sitong was formerly an analyst in Asia-ex-Japan Economics Research at Nomura, directly assisting the Chief Economist with empirical research and business cycle analyses on emerging market economies, and most recently a Ph.D. intern at the Bank of England where he worked extensively with trade repository data. In 2018, he was awarded the Kaneda Prize for a Young Outstanding Economist at the XVII Carroll Round and attained 1st Place at the IV New Economic Talent Competition. Sitong received a B.Sc. in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics (with First Class Honours), M.Sc. in Economics (with Distinction) and M.Res. in Economics (with Distinction) all from the LSE.
