About Sithara R

As a Junior Research Fellow at Jain University, I work on two-dimensional materials for energy storage and conversion application. During my masters I worked on the development of a piezoelectric material (Nylon 11/ CNC composite) for the creation of an eco-friendly energy source. This project aims to explore new possibilities of effective energy utilization and sustainability. I have a Master\'s degree in Polymer/Plastics Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology, where I gained knowledge and skills in various polymer processing technologies, such as blown film extrusion, and synthesis of titanium dioxide and incorporation with LDPE. I also hold a PGDIRI certification from IIT Kharagpur, which demonstrates my proficiency in rubber compounding and materials science. I am passionate about polymer technology and innovation, especially in the field of renewable and bio-based raw materials for polymer development. I have research experience in the field of piezoelectric polymers, CNC (Carboxylated nanocellulose) preparation from various sources and its uses, and UV spectroscopy and optical microscopy. I am eager to learn and contribute to the advancement of polymer science and engineering.
