ABOUT SIRIA MARTINEZ

I am a higher education leader and strategist with deep experience across Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, focused on advancing student success through research-informed practice, systems alignment, and equity-centered strategy. My work is grounded in a commitment to continuous learning and translating evidence into actionable solutions that improve institutional effectiveness.Throughout my career, I have led and supported initiatives centered on educational equity, recruitment, retention, and persistence, particularly for first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented students. My experience spans research, program design, professional learning, and evaluation at both the campus and system levels, with an emphasis on building sustainable structures that support students and the educators who serve them.I am especially motivated by work that addresses structural barriers, strengthens organizational capacity, and fosters environments where students experience belonging, opportunity, and clear pathways to their educational goals. Supporting institutions in doing this work thoughtfully and responsibly is central to my professional purpose. At the core of everything I do is a belief that higher education can, and must be a vehicle for possibility. Helping students realize their educational aspirations remains the most meaningful measure of my success.
