Siobhan is a program leader with over a decade of experience in visual storytelling and emerging media. She leads global, impact-driven creative programs and designs immersive experiences that activate complex issues and new ideas. Her career has been dedicated to collaborating with world-class creatives — looking ahead, she\'s eager to support the use and development of responsible emerging technologies that empower more people to become one.Siobhan has recently worked with Apple on visual strategy for machine learning initiatives, and as a senior consultant for the Open Society Foundations.Previously, over nearly a decade at Open Society, Siobhan strategically developed the documentary and visual media portfolios for the world’s largest private funder of human rights and social justice. She led field research, strategy development, grant funding programs, and art direction to support the global visual media landscape, working across documentary photography, visual journalism, interactive storytelling, and creative technology. She founded and launched the Moving Walls fellowship program for socially-engaged photographers and visual artists, awarding $700k in funding over two years and bringing 20 ambitious, large-scale, multidisciplinary projects to life.Siobhan is also a photography curator and designs experiences that expand the impact of visual media. Highlights include launching Open Society\'s first thematic international visual campaign,\"Watching You, Watching Me,\" exploring innovation at the intersection of photography and surveillance in the wake of the Snowden revelations. The exhibition and public program series toured with venues across the U.S. and Europe, and featured cross-sector partnerships that strategically engaged thousands of people on privacy policies and issues.Before Open Society, she led creative, editorial, and community operations for VII Photo Agency, a leading global photojournalism collective representing world-class industry talents. She directed editorial campaigns, managed a global digital community, and produced public programs and exhibitions in New York — advancing innovative new work and dialogues on aesthetic and technological developments in visual journalism and social impact storytelling.Siobhan has delivered presentations and reviewed hundreds of creator portfolios at conferences and cultural institutions worldwide, including in New York, Bangladesh, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uruguay, and Mexico.

   Building on nearly a decade of prior program leadership at the foundation, I partner with executives and senior leaders to shape strategy for new arts, media, and cultural initiatives. Projects include advising on the development of artist fellowship programs within the visual storytelling and emerging media portfolios; and leading curatorial initiatives in collaboration with the foundation\'s executive leadership team and the office of global operations.
