ABOUT SIOBHAN MCCARTHY
As Sustainability Lead, Strategy and Performance at Murdoch University, I drive positive impact by leading strategy development, implementation and reporting. As chief architect of the university\'s inaugural Sustainability Strategy, I steer delivery of the Strategy and Implementation Plan alongside our Decarbonisation Roadmap; working with stakeholders to deliver on our sustainability commitments. I bring active board and advisory experience across the higher education and creative industries sectors. As Vice President Australia and Board Director of Australasian Campuses Toward Sustainability (ACTS), I work with sustainability leaders across the Australasian higher education sector to embed sustainable practice within our organisations. As Chair the Board of Tone List, an artist-run, Boorloo-based exploratory music label, and as Advisory Board Member for Impressed Recordings, I support strategic direction and governance within two respected, independent, artist-first music labels. My background spans sustainability strategy, organisational development, communications and education, with a strong foundation in wellbeing, equity and participatory leadership. I’m motivated by collaborative, values‑led work that strengthens governance, builds capability and enables individuals and organisations to contribute meaningfully to a just and sustainable future.
