I have over 20 years of safety management experience in the oil and gas industry. This includes developing and implementing a number of programs including; online SDS, road radar monitoring, safety practices (managed the creation and roll out of 43 safety practices), service provider expectation manuals, online orientations, safety management courses, service provider safety management, competency management, auditing, and incident management. I have inspected and managed safety in all upstream oil and gas activities from road and lease construction through to facility construction and commissioning. Both from the licencee perspective and several years as an inspector for the BC Oil and Gas Commission. I have hired and managed staff for the past 20 years both in day to day work as well as adverse conditions including; multiple simultaneous incidents, security related events (D&A searches, sabotage, theft), and staff reductions.
