About Simran Kaur
I am a Psychotherapist and a Narrative Practitioner with roots in radical, abolitionist, and liberation-oriented frameworks. My work continues to evolve through sustained engagement with individuals and communities navigating complex identity concerns, grief, systemic oppression and relational patterns. Drawing from narrative and somatic practices, I center storytelling and meaning-making as tools for healing and resistance. I specialize in building affirming, anti-oppressive spaces where clients can re-author their stories, deconstruct inherited scripts, and move towards more liberatory ways of being. My therapeutic practice is shaped by lived experience, rigorous supervision and a commitment to social justice and collective care—built on caste-aware, queer affirmative and neurodivergent-affirming ethos. Outside the therapy room, I find my respite in engaging with communities and facilitate arts-based storytelling. I engage with writing and research as tools for reflection, resistance, and meaning-making. I’m also passionate about creating art that allows for the self to be witnessed.
