ABOUT SIMRAN SARNA

Hi! My name is Simran Sarna and I’m an undergraduate student at the University of California, Irvine majoring in Neurobiology. I’m passionate about bridging neuroscience, medicine, and service to better understand how biological and social factors shape health. Over the past few years, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the human side of science, whether it’s through asking research questions in the lab or engaging with patients in clinical spaces. I’m especially drawn to the ways in which education, empathy, and advocacy can intersect to make a lasting impact. Looking ahead, I hope to pursue a career in medicine as a physician that integrates clinical care, research, and community outreach to support underserved populations and promote equitable health outcomes. I’m currently seeking meaningful clinical opportunities to further explore this path and continue growing as a future healthcare professional.
